My colleague Amy James and I have been thinking and writing a lot about generative artificial intelligence and library instruction, specifically these questions:
- How should we be teaching students about generative AI?
- What specifically should we be teaching and in what contexts?
- How should AI tools (like ChatGPT) be used in library instruction?
- Where can we find generative AI within the Framework for Information Literacy (which of course doesn’t reference it specifically)?
